Rostock Ritz Desert Lodge

One of Namibia's most unusual desert lodges is the Rostock Ritz with its uniquely structured rock igloos, build to have a minimal visual and ecological impact on the landscape.

All of the 20 en-suite rooms (18 standard, 2 extra large suites) offer a magnificent view over the surrounding desert; two of the units are wheelchair friendly.

The coolest pool in the west makes you think you are swimming into infinity; chill out under its shady thatched surrounds or enjoy some delicious food in the à la carte restaurant (where day visitors are also welcome).

Activities include 10 clearly signed moderate to challenging hiking trails (incl. GPS) across varied, splendid desert landscapes, scenic-drives, 4x4 drives to rock cave paintings, and self-drive trips to Sossusvlei - home to some of the highest and most spectacular sand dunes on planet Earth.
