Aabadi Mountain Camp
|Twyfelfontein Area, Namibia
To reach Aabadi Mountain Camp, travel on the C35 from Khorixas and turn south onto the D1216 road. Drive for approximately 60km and look for the sign on the left.
Accommodation at Aabadi Mountain Camp comprises five safari tents, as well as a campsite with a maximum of 12 campers per site. There is a small restaurant, a sundowner terrace with a spectacular view and a small (souvenir) shop.
The safari tents are built against the mountains and overlook the riverbed of the camp. Each tent has its own parking spot and lies at quite a distance from the neighbouring tents. The restaurant is within walking distance. Breakfast is included, but you are also more than welcome for lunch and dinner, or just a drink!
The campsite is spacious and lies at the riverbed. There are an abundance of trees, so there is always shadow and privacy. There is a boiler heated bush shower and a flush toilet. The restaurant is within walking distance from the campsite. Here you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a drink. Each campsite has its own braai (barbeque), so it is also possible to prepare your own meal. Be sure to bring enough food as there is no supermarket in the area! There is no electricity at the camp sites!
While at Aabadi Mountain Camp various excursions are on offer. Prices vary and advance booking on arrival is advisable. Combinations of the different excursions are possible, e.g. a walking safari with a romantic picnic afterwards. There is something for everybody, whether you like to walk and be active, or you just want to sit back and enjoy.
A guided walk from the campsite is offered. The main attraction is Twyfelfontein World Heritage Site (22km away).
